The Department of Commerce is a vibrant community of faculty and students at SRS Degree College. It believes in developing global competencies in students through quality education and continuous innovations. The Department of Commerce provides a proficient environment to nurture commerce professionals with a high level of knowledge and competence to effectively contribute to the society with commitment and integrity. The department offers BCom and BCom with Value Added Courses. Besides this, it also offers various value-added professional programmes and certifications through recognised global bodies such as the NISM, SWAYAM, MOOCs etc.
The department strives to raise the bar year after year in terms of delivering quality education that matches with the corporate standards. We endeavour to innovate with our classroom teaching- which is a blend of classical methods of delivering lectures along-with student centric methods of teaching learning like role-plays, group assignments, discussions and debates, case-based teaching etc. The department takes pride in its best practises like- incorporating service learning in the curriculum, peer mentoring, mental health & holistic development programmes, social outreach, research paper publication, appropriate bridge course for non-commerce students, skill enhancement courses etc.
The Department of Commerce provides platform to nurture skills and build leaders through various commerce and cultural activities. Our students have won many awards by participating in various college fests and events.
